Scientific Research Laboratory (SRL) of Innovative Approaches and Technologies in Road Construction, SUPERPAVE R&D LAB, is part of the research division of the National University “Lviv Polytechnic”.
The laboratory was established by the Rector’s Order of the National University “Lviv Polytechnic” dated November 25, 2024.
The SUPERPAVE R&D LAB SRL is interdisciplinary and is established based on the Department of Chemical Technology of Oil and Gas Processing and the Department of Highways and Bridges, with the involvement of other university staff.
The purpose of the SUPERPAVE R&D LAB SRL activities is to conduct scientific research, perform research and development work, provide scientific and technical services, produce scientific and technical products to order for enterprises, organizations, institutions, and companies, conduct innovation activities, as well as ensure conditions for training specialists, including specialists of higher scientific qualification.
The scientific directions of the SUPERPAVE R&D LAB SRL are the development, testing, and scaling of innovative approaches and technologies in road construction, including the SUPERPAVE system (Superior Performing Asphalt Pavements).
The main activity areas of the SUPERPAVE R&D LAB SRL are: conducting applied research, including interdisciplinary research, in the field of construction and restoration of road structure layers; performing research and development work; providing consulting services; developing new materials and technologies; creating and implementing scientific and technical products, small batches of materials and products for technical and domestic purposes, etc.; conducting marketing activities; conducting innovation activities; supporting the training of students, graduate students and doctoral students; solving urgent scientific and scientific-technical problems of the economy; cooperation with enterprises, higher education institutions, organizations and companies, including international ones.
